~ABOUT HEALING~

"Remember that the Challenges are not here to stop us... The Challenges are here to help us grow... A big enough Challenge will bring out strengths and abilities you never knew you had..."

There is no illness or life condition that cannot be cured. But if we insist on a cure, we may miss out on a real Spiritual healing, especially if our attachment to cure creates a battle inside of us... If recovery from an illness is in the service of our own Spiritual growth, or the Spiritual growth on another, a physical cure-- even a so called miraculous cure-- can happen in the twinkling of an eye?

If being ill is in the service of our own a Spiritual growth or the Spiritual growth of another, a cure is unlikely, but Spiritual healing is very likely if we make Peace of Mind our most important priority...

There is an old saying that nothing is certain except for death and taxes.

Nonetheless, a sad misunderstanding about healing views death and illness as psychological or spiritual failure.

This mistaken belief holds that if we only thought right, or had awakened to our union with God, we would live it in perfect health.

Saint Bernadette, whose vision of the Blessed Mother at Lourdes led to an awesome healing shrine, died in her thirties of bone cancer, as did the great Indian Saint Ramana Maharashi

The Buddha died at 81 of food poisoning, but not before assuring the cook he was grateful for the meal that gave him a way to end a lifetime that had been completed.

We may tend to think that the purpose of prayer is to terminate sickness, but we forget that the purpose of sickness may be to initiate prayer or more generally, consciousness of the Infinite?

~A Healing Prayer~

May the Light of God shine in every corner of my mind, dispelling the clouds of illusion and negativity that prevent healing in my life. I accept complete and total healing from you now, noting that my Spiritual sight is not great enough to know what form that healing will take? Other then a peaceful mind and a compassionate heart?
